There was one minor hiccup however. When the magazine is emptied, the slide release will not work with the empty magazine in the pistol.

I have four of those design now. That large pinky extension is decent for shooting but obtrusive for daily CC. The Sig or Kimber 7 rds are much better designed for CC. Also, CCDN runs $19.99 specials on the Colt 7 rd Mustang mag from time to time. I grabbed three for about the retail price of one Sig 7 rd mag.I will say both magazines performed flawlessly for me, however the P398 magazines were slightly easier to load by hand. Additionally the Kimber magazines have visible weld marks while the P938 magazines do not. The bottom of the Sig magazines also have a nice engraved branding. The Kimber’s are plain on their bottom.The only practical solution here is to buy a few Springfield 911 mags for the 238 and a Kimber Micro .380 for the spare mag you have. I feel more comfortable with my carry mag coming from the gun's manufacturer. I got three 7 round and one 6 round Sig mags for my P238.
