I have size 64 jet in the primaries and size 68 in the secondaries with a 5.5 PV. I have recorded the AF mixture with my LM1 and it shows 11.5 to 12.5 at cruise approximately 2000 RPMs.

I've not done any testing with it, but it's purpose and function is to dampen float movement such as from road vibration and so forth. Many Holley carburetors don't use it and have no problem so it just depends on the application.
