Just make sure to have a sandmask in both bases. Bearer thralls especially T3/ T4 have so many slots, this combined with a mount should really ease things. 2.

TLDR: Best place for tundra resources and home? The Crevice can be a fun spot if you like caves. Personally, I wouldn't build a base near star metal just to get star metal. I'd build a map room by the obelisk there and check back every so often. Of course this all depends what kind of server you're playing on.
Looking for a location to setup base with all resources nearby. So far the best location i could think of is with the popular brimstone cavern that all the guides send us to.
